I set some new decks up last week.

Ever since I visited my first skateboard shop (in San Diego in 1983) I’ve wanted one of these Sims Christian Hosoi pro models. The graphics were designed by Bernie Tostenson, who also designed and printed all the boards for Brand-X, another favorite brand when I was a teenager. I wanted one of those “Possessed to Skate” decks since they were released in 1985, but I didn’t think it would fly too well with my Catholic mom. But now that I’m 40 years old, I don’t think she’ll mind if I ride for Satan. My homie at Scumco & Sons hooked me up with the “Skee-Skate”. Can’t wait to try it out next time I hit the skatepark. And I had to get another Alva Leopard because my last one got taken out by a bus. Skateboards come and go…
